Way back in 1972 whilst the plumbers were at work in the Watergate a few blocks away Bob and Merideth were busy falling in love. They soon relocated to Ocean Beach in San Diego. Under the watching eye of the FBI Merideth organized a whistle fueled riot against crime boss Spiro Agnew. In their spare time and with ‘spare change’ they helped the fledgling OB Peoples Store, a nonprofit food store that still stands today. Then they got jobs and it was all downhill until they found Caspar.
Merideth is a researcher and accountant who founded The Research Company, created ‘The School Report’, the first national database on public education at the birth of the internet. During her career she held the following positions: Vice President of National School Reporting Services, Vice President of Home Fair, Vice President of Research at Home Store and Homes.com.
“After we retired and were living in Alameda the kids wouldn’t move out, so we did and luckily landed in Caspar. I've enjoyed volunteering for the community center as cashier or many events.”
Bob Is a consulting engineer for the television and film production industry. His employment history includes; Vice President of Pacific Video Resources, Lead Engineer at Industrial Light and Magic, and Senior Engineer at Pixar. Bob has served on the Boards of the National Federation of Cable Programmers, International Teleproduction Society, Aeolian Yacht Club, and the Gore Townhome Association. He has also served on various standards committees of SMPTE and IEEE. Bob is a Past President of Caspar Community and currently is Treasurer.
