Two people can share a booth. Arts, crafts, produce, plant starts, collectibles, junque, household goods and lots of thing-a-ma-jigs & whatits will be for sale at the market. Community Meeting: Water & Land

This is a very important meeting about Water (and the land that goes with it ...and development of Caspar into the next decades.) There will be two presentations by experts in the water business -- Anna Birkas will offer an overview of how water will affect life in Caspar and along the Mendocino Coast, with particular focus on how Caspar might develop itself as a resilient village, and we will receive a report from our Sacramento-based water rights legal team on the best way to organize an entity to own the water when it falls into our hands.

As you know, the 'Water Conversation' has been going on for at least 20 years. This meeting is an important milestone, because, by our communal interest and enthusiasm (or lack) a decision will be made about whether to take the next steps to make ownership of Caspar's water our own, or let its development be handled by outsiders.

More is known now about ways and means than ever before. New information will become available on Sunday afternoon. I hope you can come and help weigh that information, make the important decision, and, if the consensus is Proceed, begin the nuts-and-bolts organization of the legal entity that will own, upgrade, and administer the water system.

The meeting starts at 4pm and shouldn't last much more than an hour. Then there will be potluck and an opportunity to meet informally with our experts.
