Celebrate Gorse!

Gorse, Eucalyptus, and other invasive plants from alien habitats, are a constant irritant and threat to the quality of life in Caspar. We try to keep our hearts light when we work with these invaders, but the errors made by those who came here before us have left indelible stains on the land.

Gorse is a fact of life in Caspar, and we celebrate life. Caspar's annual Gorse Festival (owned and operated by the gorse itself) begins in late winter (when the gorse begins to bloom and softened earth makes grubbing it out possible) and culminates with the Halloween Festival in October, when we taste the first of the year's Gorse Wine.
