Caspar is about 200 kilometers, or 160 miles, north of San Francisco, on the North Coast of California. Drive north on US 101 to Cloverdale, then northwest on windy state highway 128 to its intersection with windier state highway 1 south of Albion. Proceed north on highway 1 past Mendocino.
