Klezmishpoche & Friends: Concert at Caspar Community Center on Saturday, May 18, 3:30 - 5: 30 pm.

Music and dance concert, two hours of music. Some traditional Jewish music by Klezmishpoche, instrumental or sung in Yiddish or Hebrew; in English, some original songs and some covers chosen with inspiration in mind. Some sing-alongs, some choreographed and some freestyle dances. Donation optional to cover costs of the hall.

CASPAR & the Local Coastal Plan Update: Zoning! Roads! Water! Habitats! What do you want in Caspar? Mendocino County has begun a Local Coastal Plan Update. Now is the time for Caspar to shape county plans! Discussion, resources and questions with Grassroots Institute’s Peter McNamee and the Caspar Community Board. “Or So It Would Seam: A Giant Puppet Fable for People of All Ages” Equal parts whimsical fairy tale, outer-space odyssey, and slap-stick clown show, “Or So It Would Seam” will follow the cosmic seamstresses of the planet Lupita who, among other things, weave the fabric of space-time. A sci-fi folktale populated with succulent moons and mountainous planets, “Or So” will take audiences out of this galaxy to contemplate the intricate and unexpected ways we are all connected to one another.
